Entertainment: the cat experiment

Don Gaile edited the zany mad-cap comedic feature film The Cat Experiment for director/producer/writer David Floyd Nesenoff and Coventry Road Entertainment.

Taking over 80 hours of footage, this mostly improv comedy with a cast of 30+ characters and 43 cameras, Don developed the surveillance "look" to fit the unique storyline. He created all the special effects, surveillance graphics, color corrected the film, and developed the opening title sequence, closing photo montages, and the two production company logos.

SYNOPSIS

When a camera surveillance technician and his new wife set out on their honeymoon, they hire a sitter to watch their three cats in their multi-room spacious house. Little does the sitter know that there are over 40 cameras installed throughout the house watching everyone's move - including the cats.

After the sitter gets spooked by a strange noise, she calls a friend who calls someone and so one and so on until finally a part-time party planner/dog sitter stops by with about hundred of her friends. The comedy continues when the next morning, the dog sitter finds a mysterious man tied up in bed while everyone from gangsters to real estate agents to clergy visit the house with their own unique agenda. The cameras capture it all as the story unfolds in a visual multiscreen symphony.
